The 5270 represents the pinnacle of Patek Philippe's grand complication watchmaking, combining a perpetual calendar with a chronograph in a single timepiece. Housed in the brand's most prestigious case material, 950 platinum, this reference commands attention within even the most distinguished collections.
The 41mm platinum case carries a weight and presence befitting its grand complication status. A sapphire crystal protects the green lacquer dial, whilst an exhibition caseback reveals the hand-wound movement within. Water resistant to 30 metres.
The green lacquer dial presents a rich, deep colour that shifts subtly in different lighting conditions. Sub-dials for the chronograph, day, month, and leap year cycle are arranged harmoniously, with a moon phase display at six o'clock featuring the signature Patek Philippe diamond. Applied white gold markers ensure legibility throughout.
The manually wound Calibre CH 29-535 PS Q beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and houses 33 jewels plus one diamond (0.02ct). A column-wheel chronograph mechanism works alongside the perpetual calendar module, which correctly accounts for months of differing lengths and leap years until 2100.
An alligator leather strap is paired with a platinum deployant clasp, providing a secure and comfortable fit against the wrist.
