The Ferrari 250 GT Lusso debuted at the October 1962 Paris Motor Show and was immediately recognized as something special. Not flamboyant, not loud, but a Ferrari that achieved a rare balance between sportiness and refinement. Pininfarina penned the lines, Scaglietti built the body, and together they created a silhouette that is still widely regarded as one of the most beautiful automotive designs ever produced. A long hood, a relatively short tail, slim pillars, and generous glass area, elegant, light, and perfectly proportioned. As Road & Track famously wrote at the time: no Ferrari road car had ever attracted such lasting admiration for its appearance.
