Description
RUSSIA Troika, 88 zolotniki, 1st half of the 20th century, In Fabergé style, the sleigh is lavishly decorated with fine engraving and enamel work in yellow, white, turquoise and royal blue, partly openwork and adorned with amethyst cabochons, gilded. The sleigh is pulled by an equally magnificent and dynamic team of horses, whose saddlecloths are enamelled in bright blue and whose harnesses are also gilded. A putto sits at the front of the sleigh, driving the team of horses. To his right and left sit two putti, each holding up a sceptre decorated with stones. Mounted on a marble slab, lxw: approx. 42x22 cm, hallmarked. Signs of age.
