Heesen is one of the world’s best shipyards renowned for its Dutch craftsmanship and especially their fast alluminium yachts. BILMAR boasts impressive speeds for a 44m tri-deck yacht with max speed of 28 knots while able to cruise comfortably at 23 knots. She can also cruise at a more economical 16 knots and impressively has transatlantic capabilities at 10 knots. Her main engines underwent a W5 in 2017 while new larger generators were fitted in 2020. Her exterior lines are by Omega Architects while her interior was designed by Veta Tsoukala, with significant artistic influence and guidance from the Owner, himself a renowned artist.
 
The yacht’s interior volumes and external deck spaces are extremely comfortable and larger than expected. A full beam on deck master plus another 5 guest suites down below are rare on a yacht this size, while her main salon, dinning area and sky lounge are spacious and luminous. The sun deck has a forward-facing sun pad area, seating area under a well designer fixed shade with louvers (adjustable horizontal slats) and jacuzzi to the aft. The aft bridge deck is where guests spend most of their time with a large dinning table and comfortable sofas, while the main deck aft has a very comfortable seating area; ideal to hang out when the yacht is at anchor and the fold out swim platform is down for swimming off the stern.
