We proudly present this Patek Philippe Pagoda as one of the most special pieces in our collection at the moment.
 
In 1997, the house of Patek Philippe released a special limited-edition watch to commemorate the opening of its new watchmaking facilities in Geneva. Constructed with a flared rectangular case in the form of a multi-tiered tower with eaves, it was accordingly named the “Pagoda” and given the reference number 5500. Only 2,000 pieces were produced in total: 1,100 in yellow gold, 500 in rose gold, 250 in white gold, and just 150 in platinum.
 
Now comes the truly unique part: to further assure buyers and collectors worldwide that no additional Pagodas would ever be introduced to the market, the company publicly destroyed the model’s case molds, guaranteeing that no reproductions could ever be made.
 
This particular Pagoda, Reference 5500, is crafted in yellow gold and is in pristine condition. It features a gorgeous champagne dial with applied Roman numerals and blued gold feuille hands, a curved sapphire crystal, a signed crown, and Patek Philippe’s manually wound Calibre 215 movement.
 
Furthermore, this piece comes with its original box and papers, a commemorative coin, the original lead seal that used to be attached to the bracelet from the time of purchase, and its black alligator leather strap. It truly couldn’t be more complete.
